Brush and detangle your hair. Section off your hair. Place a section of hair between the plates. Close the plates and slowly move the hair straightener down the length of your hair. Repeat this process for all sections of your hair. For curling, wrap sections of hair around the plates and hold for a few seconds before releasing.
