This 25 ft Boat Trailer Wiring harness will replace your old or worn out trailer wiring to make it like new again! The Trailer End Connecter on this Wiring Cluster uses a 5 pin or 5 flat connector. This Harness uses color coded wires to send power to your trailer's lights and brake functions. The Colors are the same White, Green, Yellow, and Brown wires that all trailer harnesses use. The Functions of these wires are as follows: White (Ground Wire), Green (Right Turn), Yellow (Left Turn), Blue (Brakes) and the Brown Wires Operate the Left and Right Side Running Lights.A 5 Pin Wiring Harness is typically used on a trailer with brakes. If you have hydraulic disc brakes, or electric drum brakes, you would typically need a 5 pin connector like this one. If your trailer does not have brakes and uses a 4 Pin Connector, we have a similar 4 Flat Wiring Harness available on our website at this link.This 25ft length is perfect for medium length trailers, or those wanting to wire their trailer up all the way to a set of lights at the top of their Boat Trailer Guide Poles. Each wire is 25ft long, including the 2 White Ground Wires. On most Trailer Wiring kits, the ground wire is only about 30 inches long, and is designed to install to the trailer tongue, closer to the tow vehicle end of the trailer. If your trailer is aluminum, you may experience grounding issues connecting directly to the frame like this. With a Wiring harness that features longer ground wires, you have the option to ground further down the trailer, on the steel studs your lights use, or even better, on a junction box that may not be located near the front of the trailer. This will give you a more reliable ground and your trailer's electric components will be less likely to experience issues. This Wiring Harness is a 'wishbone' style harness , which means that it's designed to send (1) brown wire, (1) yellow wire, and (1) white ground wire down the left side of your trailer frame, and (1) brown wire, (1) green wire, and (1) white ground wire down the right side of your trailer frame to make installation easier and more straight forward. The Blue Wire to power your Brake System can be sent down either side to a Junction Box, or trimmed and connected to the Electric Solenoid located closer to the Tow Vehicle.
