OUR FOUNDING FATHERS:
With a bike and a dream, our grandfather, David Hanna, cycled over 100 miles to Donegal Town, Ireland to start an apprenticeship at McDaid's Tailor in 1921. After McDaid's passing, our grandfather continued the legacy and kept the workshop open, which would soon transform to the Hanna Hats we know today.
The transition from tailoring suits to hand-crafting headwear came when a local man dropped by our grandfather's workshop asking for a new hat. Within four and a half hours, David Hanna had created the "Hanna Hat, No. 84," a short-brimmed Trilby style hat made from the finest Donegal tweed. Discovering a flair for headwear, the company then evolved to designing and handcrafting hats and caps and Hanna Hats was established in 1924.
SECOND GENERATION:
Our father, John Joseph Hanna, joined the business with his three brothers in 1964. John had a passion for beautiful fabrics, customer service and upholding the impeccable quality standards set by his father.
THIRD GENERATION:
Keeping alive all the values that were so important to our father and grandfather, we continue to create timeless headwear and accessories in our Donegal Town Workshop. - We process and ship orders Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
- Most orders are processed within 1–3 business days, depending on product availability.
- Processing time does not include delivery time, which varies based on your location and the product’s shipping origin.

Import Duties & Taxes
All import duties and taxes for goods imported into the United States are included in the product price. There are no hidden fees or additional charges at checkout.
Tracking & Notifications
Every order is fully trackable. You will receive a tracking number via email once your order ships. If your order ships in multiple packages, each package will have its own tracking number. If you don’t receive a shipping confirmation immediately, your order is still being processed and will arrive within the estimated timeframe shown at checkout.

Order Changes & Cancellations
If you need to modify or cancel an order, please contact our customer support team as soon as possible. Orders can only be canceled before they ship. Once shipped, cancellations are not possible, but you may request a return after the item is delivered.
