During seasonal tyre or brake changes, the rim often sits firmly because rust has formed on the contact surface to the brake disc. The brake disc itself can also be stuck to the wheel hub due to rust.
Often only the hammer helps - but this can lead to serious damage: rim, brake disc or wheel bearing can be damaged, which entails expensive repairs in the workshop.
