The Waltham Butternut Squash is sweet and delicious. This is a vining plant that will produce 3-4 squash per vine. Each squash can weigh around 3-6 pounds. Many people plant this as it stores well, far into winter. That way, you can enjoy your harvest months after you've harvested. To harvest, you can pick the butternut squash when the stem starts to turn brown from its green state. If you notice that they stop growing, that is a good indication that you can harvest.
Butternut squash is extremely easy to grow. Both seasoned and first-time gardeners will enjoy the success they have with these seeds.
