JT 15t (-1t) tooth  Front & 43t (+1t) tooth SuperSprox Black Steel Rear Sprocket (Silver sprocket only available in 42t) (scm420 Chromoly Japan steel alloy front, C49 High Carbon Black Japan steel rear) and a high strength JT Z3 GOLD 525x112L      X-Ring Chain including a RIVET type master link.

  JT Z3 525 X-Ring Chain is also available in  Natural Silver/BLACK  by request. 

       (JT calls it Black, but it's more like Dark Silver)

This 525 RACE kit is provided with all 525 size chain and sprocket components 

For QUICK ACCELERATION gear ratio  (quicker off the line, quicker roll on's, wheelies), use a 15t front sprocket and 43t Black steel rear.  THIS IS THE DEFAULT SUPPLIED GEARING FOR THIS KIT UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED.     Silver JT Japan steel 42t is optional.  

Original Factory Supplied OEM size sprockets are the calculated "Happy Medium" of off the line acceleration, roll on's, and high speed engine rpm's with the least amount of compromise on either top end or low end accelerationStock size teeth 525 sprockets are available if you simply want  lighter weight drive train components , but the same ratio. Request OEM 16/42t with a Silver JT steel rear sprocket during checkout in the "Add Message" tab. The SuperSprox Black Steel 525x42t (oem) rear sprocket is NOT available at this time.

JT 525 Japan Steel Front Sprocket is available in 525 x 14t, 15t, or 16 teeth 

SuperSprox 525 BLACK steel rear sprocket is available in 42t or 43t **Black 43t is the default rear size/color for this kit.**


JT 525 Silver Steel Rear Sprocket is available in 520 x 41t, 42t, 43t, 44t, 45t, or 46 teeth                    

Teeth and Sizes Explained...

**   A -1t front sprocket change is EXACTLY the same ratio change as +3t rear sprocket change. (-1 Ft. = +3 Rr)

**   A +1t front sprocket change is EXACTLY the same ratio change as -3t rear sprocket change. (+1 Ft = -3 Rr)

**   A -1t front and +2t rear combination is EXACTLY the same as a +5t rear only change with stock front sprocket.

**   A 520 size chain is approx. 2mm narrower than a 525 chain, and 4mm narrower than a 530 chain. Less mass equals lighter weight equals easier to spin, but the ratio (teeth size) change makes the big difference. The sprocket width matches the chain width where it rides on the sprockets, thus a 520 chain must use 520 sprockets, and a 525 chain must use 525 sprockets, etc...

**   RPE Motorcycle has chain and sprocket conversion kits available in 520 , 525 , and 530 sizes for most motorcycles.

**  A larger rear sprocket number of teeth size requires a longer chain, however +1 or -1 tooth on the front sprocket only will use the same chain length.

**  If you gear your motorcycle for Quicker Acceleration, it will be Slower on the top end of your power band. If you gear your motorcycle for Top End (Faster Top Speed, lower top gear cruising rpm's) it will be slower off the line and less responsive in lower rpm's.

Half the Power Loss (Compared with Normal O-Ring)  X-Ring construction reduces friction by twisting between the side plates instead of being squashed.

Normal O-Rings and other makers’ modified O-Rings have squashed points that increase friction. The twisting action of the X-Ring disperses the pressure and minimizes power loss.
