How To Use:
Instrument operation
1. Power on/off
Power on: Short press the button on the back of the instrument to power on
Shutdown: Long press the button of the instrument to shut down or click on the menu bar "Shutdown" to shut down, if automatic shutdown is set, the instrument will automatically shut down when the time of inactivity is longer than the set automatic shutdown time
2. Equipment calibration
After entering the "equipment calibration" interface. The user can perform the calibration operation according to the calibration animation prompt, or skip the calibration. When the instrument has not been used for a long time, it is recommended to calibrate. You can also set the language in the calibration interface. If it is currently displayed in Chinese, click "English" to switch to English, if it is currently displayed in English, click "Chinese" to switch to Chinese
If it prompts that the calibration failed, the possible reasons are as follows:
The bottom cover is not closed
The standard plate on the bottom cover is too dirty and needs to be cleaned
Light source attenuation causes malfunction
3. Measurement
Enter the main measurement interface. There are two measurement modes: "color difference contrast" and "color measurement". You can click the button at the bottom of the screen to switch, and the font of the button will turn blue after selection
Chromatic aberration contrast
In the color difference contrast measurement interface, click the "standard color measurement" button, and the current measured value will be used as the standard color. Click the "Sample Color Measurement" button, and the current measured value is used as the sample color. If you short press the instrument button, a color measurement will also be performed, and this measurement value will replace the last measurement data. When the standard color is measured or added, and the sample color is measured, the color difference calculation will be performed on the two colors. The color difference comparison results generally have the following three judgments:
LabCh difference
The LabCh difference A is the sample color data minus the standard color data, and the direction of color cast between the two is judged by AL, La, and Ab
△E value
The value of △E is calculated according to the selected color difference formulas
QC testing
QC detection is suitable for color difference detection in the production process. If the calculated △E is greater than the set threshold, it will display "unqualified", and the judgment area will display red, if the calculated AE is less than or equal to the set threshold, it will display "qualified" , the judgment area is displayed in green
Notice
1. When the instrument has not been used for a long time, it is recommended to use it after calibration.
2. Please ensure that the sample is uniform and the surfaces is flat and clean, otherwise it will affect the measurement accuracy.
3. After the base is removed from the host, it should be stored in a clean place to avoid contamination of the standard board.
4. Do not insert any objects into the instrument to clean it, as this will damage the instrument, affect measurement accuracy and operational safety.
5 When the battery of the instrument is empty, it should be charged in time.
6. If you do not use the instrument for more than half a year, you need to charge it regularly to prevent the battery from over‑discharge and damage.
7. Due to the color difference displayed on the LCD screen, the color displayed on the instrument screen is for reference only.
