year old original scent of New Orleans was first created in 1843 by
August Doussan who was the first full time perfumer in New
Orleans.
His skills and capabilities of blending flowers and
spices into marvelous parfums became the biggest sensation all over
New Orleans. It soon became in great demand by the city's leading
(wealthy) families.
Mr. Doussan established the Doussan French Perfumery in the Vieux Carre more known as The French Quarter and is the oldest and most famous neighborhood in New Orleans.
Kus Kus Oil is
subtle, fresh and slightly spicy. The scent brings you back to
another time and place.
With complex layers of notes, it starts out sweet and powdery then the spices start warming things up. Gradually deep resinous notes appear. Very romantic, like a ventage boudoir with lacy "underthings".

I was born and raised in the South and have lived here all my life. I was brought up in Old Southern Style Conjure practices and consider myself a very powerful conjure worker. I do not craft "weak or diluted" products. They are crafted from 100% natural herbs, roots, oils, minerals, etc. If I were to craft them any stronger, it would probably take the hair off your skin. I don't believe in charging extra for "double or triple" strength oils or other products. I don't even offer them cause to me, they should already be as strong as it is suppose to be in the first place. That's like ordering a hamburger and having to pay extra for the meat! Refund Processing
Once your return is received and inspected:
- In-store returns are refunded to the original form of payment or issued as a gift card.
- Mail-in returns using our prepaid label are refunded to the original payment method within 3–5 business days after we receive your return.
Please allow:
- 5–7 business days for the return to reach our Returns Center.
- An additional 3–10 business days for your bank to post the refund to your account.
