- COMPOSITION | Our Siberian yellow clay is composed primarily of silica and water, as with most clays. However, due to its geographical surroundings it also contains zinc, magnesium, iron, copper and calcium. Some of these minerals contribute to its yellow hue. The colour of the clay can vary from a very pale pastel to a more vibrant yellow depending on the exact composition and different quantities of the previously noted minerals.
- TEXTURE & FORM | Our Siberian yellow clay is the perfect balance of earthy, velvety and somewhat dusty. However, it’s also very smooth and almost creamy to the touch. It feels and looks almost malleable on the surface, and is quite soft in geological terms. It can be broken by hand with little effort. The earthy and gentle feel of the clay is very pleasant and has a primal quality. It has a mild and natural odour of nature and pristine purity.
