The mold will make a concrete paver that measures 7" wide by 9.5" long and 1.5" deep
The cement paver stone can be used for driveways, walkways, paths, stepping stones, and more!
Below are the instructions to make your own pavers. It's a great DIY for backyard projects and creates a beautiful unique design that can't be store-bought!
Instructions to make pavers:
1) Mix Ready-mix concrete to a proper consistency. Too wet can result in a weaker concrete paver. Too dry of a mix can result in a rougher texture paver. You should aim to get a perfect mixture of concrete that will fill the mold's surface.
2) Add a small layer of the concrete mix, just enough to cover the face of the mold. The concrete needs to settle and release the air pockets in the mix. Traditionally, you'd vibrate the mold to allow the mix to settle. If you don't have a vibration table, tap the mold on a sturdy surface until the mix settles into the face and continue tapping/cibrating until the majority of air pockets have been released
3) Add concrete to the lip of the mold and vibrate once more for it to fully settle into the mold
4) Once the mold is topped off and vibrated thoroughly, place it to cure on a leveled surface for 24-48 hours (Colder temperatures require longer curing time)
5) Once completely dry and cured, gently pull the sides to release the concrete from the sides of the mold (for easier removal). Flip upside down and gently press the face of the mold to release the face of the concrete from the mold
6) Here's where patience plays a big role! The mold is tight and made of durable ABS plastic. It does not have a lot of bending and flexibility so it can keep its structure for hundreds of uses. While the mold is upside down, tap the lips of the mold on the edge of a sturdy table or surface. Rotate mold as the paver slowly makes its way out. This could take multiple rotations as the paver inches out.
7) Once the paver is fully released, let it sit to dry out before installing it. The mold is reusable for hundreds of uses. You can immediately reuse it. If the mold gets spotted with old concrete, use diluted muriatic acid to remove the concrete stains on the mold. Rinse with water after 60 seconds and wipe with dry towel. That way, the mold can remain clean and keep the smooth surface!
