How does the correct installation proceed?
- Difficulty: medium.
- The correct installation of our panels takes place in a few simple and intuitive steps:
- Create a substructure made of e.g. roof battens (min. 20 mm depth for optimal air circulation to prevent mould formation) or mounting strips. Please note that the maximum distance between the substructure should be 40 cm.
- Lean the panels and strips against the wall to visually estimate which lengths the panels need to be cut and planned.
- Panels can be combined with Polynor spray insulation.
- Installation of the accessory strips including the starting strips (do not screw tightly, leave 1-1.5 mm air between the screw head and panels, the panels require clearance during temperature changes). Warning: use only pan head screws.
- Now the panels are cut to match the strips. Start to cover from the beginning strip at the top, every 40 cm should be screwed here. (Please note that the panels do not insert completely into the accessory strips, leave 6-10 mm spacing).
- If you also want to mount end strips at the bottom in addition to the starting strip, small holes must be drilled in the lower end strip for water drainage.
- Panels and moldings can be cut with tools like the Flex. Holes for e.g. LED lights are possible. It is important not to apply pressure when cutting.
- In the screw channel of the panels/strips there are slotted holes, here the panels must be attached to the middle of the substructure.
- With the correct installation, you will receive a fairing with a decades of service life.
When are which accessory strips required:
- Initial strip: it is aligned once at the base of the trim and the PVC panels are placed on it. It ensures that moisture can drain away at the foot of the trim.
- J end strip: mounted around windows and doors as a finisher.
- H connection strip: If the dimensions to be lined are longer than the panels, H connecting strips are required to extend the panels.
- L outer corner strip: used as a connection of the panels around an outer corner.
- W inner corner strip: To connect inner corners, if not available in desired colour, 2 end strips are recommended as inner corners.
- V-window profile: for covering window reveals to ensure a uniform look.
- End for V-window strip: used as a finisher for the V window strip.
