Please read these important details about the vent cap inside diameter measuring 3" inch and the outside diameter measuring 3.5" inch, therefore using the same size pipe with the mesh pipe cover WILL NOT FIT. The unique feature of the Raven termination vent earned the patent because it allows water condensation to drain out from the pipe. The furnace vent exhaust allows smooth airflow through the stainless steel mesh screen. From the top edge to the bottom edge of the termination cap, a small inward curved slot runs along the outer part of the termination vent that helps with the flow of liquid condensation escape from the pipe. A compatible PVC pipe can be connected with the mesh screen termination ends insert together with the adapter that can be either a PVC or a rubber flexible elbow coupling or a hub fitting (not included) to ensure that the flow is uninterrupted. The stainless steel mesh screen vent cap can be easily fitted on any compatible PVC as an exposed pipe cover. The 304 grade type of stainless steel corrosion resistance quality of the mesh screen provides the strength and durability to resist obstruction of leaves, and debris and prevents, birds, bugs plus wildlife from entering the mesh wire screen as exterior pipe cover. The unique design of the mesh screen allows maximum airflow through the vent to discharge output effectively. Useful for residential or commercial applications. Please note that the PVC or rubber flexible elbow coupling and hub fitting is not included and must be purchased separately. The PVC mesh screens for pipes are available in other sizes in 2,4 and 6 inches.
