  • What is the complete list of ingredients in Reflux Gourmet’s Rescue products? Reflux Gourmet’s Proprietary Alginate Complex (Calcium Pantothenate, Sodium Alginate, Sodium Bicarbonate), dextrose, deionized water, natural flavor, grapefruit seed extract, polylysine.
  • How much alginate is in each serving? Every 5 ml contains 425 mg of Reflux Gourmet’s Proprietary Alginate Complex. Due to the proprietary nature of our formula, we cannot disclose exact amounts. We have come to understand that the quality of the alginate far outweighs the quantity when it comes to raft formation and protecting the esophagus. We are proud that the integrity of our all-natural raft consistently outperforms all the synthetic rafts of our competitors in lab comparisons. We are committed to remaining 100% all-natural while maintaining such stellar quality of performance.
  • Why is there sugar in your product? Alginate tastes terrible; the sugar plays a part in covering that up. More importantly, dextrose is one of nature’s original preservatives. Our product is 100% all-natural alginate and we would have to resort to synthetic preservatives (such as paraben, a known hormone disruptor linked to certain cancers) if we removed the dextrose, and we are committed to remaining entirely natural and safe.
  • Is there iodine in your product? No.
  • Is there potassium in your product? No.
  • How much sodium is in the recommended dose? 40 mg of sodium per 5 ml.
  • Are Reflux Gourmet’s Rescue products gluten-free? Vegan? Kosher? And more? Our plant-based products are vegan, gluten-free, and meet kosher requirements (though not kosher certified). Our products are also free from common allergens (such as peanuts, soybeans, milk, eggs, fish, crustacean, tree nuts, and wheat), as well as any artificial additives (including sweetener, flavoring, or color), and dairy-free. Reflux Gourmet’s products are proud to be all-natural, non-GMO, made in the USA, cruelty-free.
  • Can I take the product with medication and/or supplements? It is best not to take our product with medication and/or supplements – in case your pill was to get caught in the raft, though it would still be digested and absorbed. Take medication before taking the product, or four hours after taking our product. Our products do not interfere with the actions of any medications/supplements, just remember to work around the raft that is protecting your esophagus.
  • Is grapefruit seed extract the same as grapefruit juice in terms of interacting with medications? While patients taking certain medications are warned of grapefruit juice, grapefruit seed extract is a different substance. The capacity for GSE to produce interactions with medications remains unknown. Like all botanical products, GSE is a complex material with numerous phytochemicals that remain largely uncharacterized with respect to pharmacokinetics. That being said, any decisions regarding medication regimen and potential for interactions should be made in partnership with your treating physician.
  • Can I still take Reflux Gourmet’s Rescue Products if I am on proton pump inhibitors (PPIs)? Studies are showing evidence that even while being treated with PPIs, there is consistently an “acid pocket” on top of your stomach contents. Thus, those still experiencing discomfort while on PPIs may feel relief using our product as it would be activated by this very “acid pocket.”
  • Do I have to take 1 teaspoon (5 ml) of the product? One teaspoon may be perfect for some, others may require more or less. Adjust the dose to the lowest amount necessary to meet your needs.
  • What happens if I eat or drink after taking the product? You can eat or drink after taking our products without any negative consequences. The raft has the consistency of a gel, so food and liquid will pass through the raft with the assistance of gravity and normal esophageal movement.
  • Can I dilute the product to make it less viscous? Yes, but the thickness of the product provides optimal protection for your throat and esophagus. Diluting the product may reduce the protective function and/or length of action.
  • Does the mint and chocolate flavoring in Mint Chocolate Rescue promote reflux? The amounts of all-natural mint and chocolate extract CANNOT promote reflux. Instead, our physicians have created the only “mint and chocolate” that is actually good for reflux!
  • When I received my order, the product was excessively hot / cold from the shipping process, is it still okay to use? Allow the product to return to room temperature before consuming and the function will remain unaffected (though the color may have darkened).
  • Where is the expiration date? The FDA does not require an expiration date on nutritional supplements. The date of manufacture is stamped into the end of the tube seal as part of the lot number. The first two digits are the year, the second two digits are the month. (A product produced February of 2021 would carry a number beginning 2102.) If at any time your product appears compromised, please do not consume it.

Return: 

You may return most items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers or magazines cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.

Additional non-returnable items:

To complete your return, we require a tracking number, which shows the items which you already returned to us.
There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable)

  • Book with obvious signs of use
  • CD, DVD, VHS tape, software, video game, cassette tape, or vinyl record that has been opened
  • Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error
  • Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

Items returned to us as a result of our error will receive a full refund,some returns may be subject to a restocking fee of 7% of the total item price, please contact a customer care team member to see if your return is subject. Returns that arrived on time and were as described are subject to a restocking fee.

Items returned to us that were not the result of our error, including items returned to us due to an invalid or incomplete address, will be refunded the original item price less our standard restocking fees.

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

Shipping Cost

We'll pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.). In other cases, you will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Refund: 

  • Purchases may be returned within 30 days of the shipping date for a refund. 
  • Refund will be issued to your original form of payment.
  • Refunds for orders purchased with IBSPOT Gift Cards and/or IBSPOT Notes will be issued as a  IBSPOT Gift Card and mailed to the original billing address. Gift cards cannot be redeemed for cash unless  required by law. 

Refund Processing 

• Returns to a IBSPOT store will be refunded to the original form of payment or gift card. • Mail-in returns with our prepaid return label will be refunded back to the original form of payment within 3-5  business days after we receive your return. Please allow 5-7 business days for your return to arrive at our Returns Center. 

• Note: It may take a few days until your bank posts the refund to your account. 

Claims: 

Claims related to the product. Be sure to check the details of your purchase carefully before you make the payment, and  check the contents of the package(s) promptly upon receipt. If you have a problem with the product, visit our Support  Center to find out about return shipping arrangements.

Exceptions / non-returnable items 

Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants),  custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as  beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or  gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item. Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
