Warm Tips
1. When using the Stud Scan Mode, if you're unsure of the detection depth, it's recommended to start with the 1/2"" scan mode. If nothing is detected in the 1/2"" scan mode, switch to the 1"" or 1 1/2"" scan mode.
2. Before moving the beam finder for walls each time, you need to wait for the calibration to complete (3 - 5 seconds).During calibration, to avoid affecting the measurement results, the stud locator must be kept away from any metal objects, wires, and strong magnetic field sources.
3. To get the best scan results, it's crucial to hold the product locator correctly and move it properly during scanning.
Follow these tips for more accurate scan results: ①Hold the handle on one side with your thumb and the other side with your fingers.Make sure your fingertips are on the handle and don't touch the surface being scanned or the tool's scanning head. ②Keep the electronic stud finder steadily parallel to the stud. Don't rotate the wall wire locator.Place the tool flat on the wall and then slide it slowly over the surface being scanned. Don't shake, tilt, or press too hard. ③Avoid placing your other hand or any other part of your body on the surface being scanned, as this can interfere with the tool's performance. 4. If the scan results are unstable, it may be due to wetness or dampness inside the wall or drywall, or the recent use of coating or wallpaper that hasn't fully dried. Even if the wetness isn't visible, it can affect the tool's sensors. Let the wall dry for a few days.
