They're also capable of providing the the most natural presentation to your panfish jigs. **FISHING FLOATS AND BOBBERS MAKES FISHING BETTER** In the water, the line flows freely through the float until the bobber hits the stop, leaving the bait at the desired depth. When you start to reel in, the float slides back down toward the hook again. The bobbers should only be large enough to hold your bait and float upright in the water, that way it will be sensitive to any type of bite. If your bobber lays flat on the surface, you’re probably on the bottom or need additional weight. Adjust the bobber stop upward or add weight. Setting the correct depth is critical for successful slip bobbering. Start at 6" to 12" inches off the bottom and adjust the bobber stop upward from there. Walleyes and perch relate to bottom structure, bluegills, crappies and bass often suspend higher. There is a lot of flexibility and room for experimentation. Rigging up a slide slip bobber takes a little more time but it's well worth the little bit of extra effort.
