To buy a belt directly according to your pants size, apply the +2 rule. For example, if you wear 30-size pants, you need to get an M-32'' belt. 

Grab a tape measure to measure your existing belt from the leather fold to the hole you daily use. If you get 32'' it would be your waist and belt size. When you grab the belt M-32'' you will be using the middle hole. Since this belt has 7 holes. You will still have 3 available holes on the left and 3 available holes on the right while you are using the middle hole.
