Wear protective eyewear, and give yourself a little extra material to work down. If it gets really hot, the material may flake off, or chip as when buffing to a high shine. Go slow, and don't let it heat up. 8 times out of 10 it will survive a drop test from waist height, but it can break if you aren't careful with it. Otherwise, as a handle material, it is waterproof, color fast, and looks stunning when finished.
