This item is a great idea and does stop your back from hurting when using the whipper snipper. I found the handle does not tighten properly on my EGO whipper snipper and the mount doesn't tighten even tighten on the the green handle leaving me feeling that one day the green handle is going to fall out. I think it is overpriced. I purchased two other similar items one for around a third of the price and the other for around $20. The cheapest one is by far the best.
So much easier on my back. You gotta get one if you're tall like me!
works great.
Works good, takes a while to adjust it right, only on real steep banks I don’t use it. Gets attention from the neighborhood dads.
This attachment for my weed eater is such a back saver. It gives me better control of what I cutting. Very pleased with my purchase. Was easy to install. Good quality all around
Product seems solid and at times, I can see the advantage, but for weed whacking edges of beds and sidewalks, I just can't get used to this attachment. Watched all types of videos to see how others are setting this up, but unless I'm weed whacking flat, it just seems awkward to me. I tend to keep bumping my trimmer with my leg while walking as well. Nothing against the product and determined to try to work it out, but may just be that you can't teach an old dog new tricks.
exactly as needed,
Easy to install lightweight comfortable grip.
I was skeptical that this works, but after using, I should have bought years ago. I’m 6’6” tall and no matter the trimmer it’s never long enough. Adding the grip allows better control and comfort. The minor amount of weight is noticeable, and it feels lighter.
I really like this! It works just as advertised and makes weed eating almost pleasurable! Can't recommend it enough.
Nothing to dislike, it’s great, wished I’d gotten one years ago.
I have several at this point and being 6’4 it’s definitely a back saver.
Bought because I was having problems finding a good harness to relieve some pain from a bad back. Received the Darwin Grip and installation was fairly easy but the aluminum threads that hold it together on the trimmer are SOFT SOFT SOFT. So soft, it came with a disclaimer that basically says don't over tighten because if you do and destroy the threads - it's on you, not the manufacturer. Obviously there are many issues with the threads stripping out as evidenced by the warning from the manufacturer. In my experience - the grip kept coming loose - a pain in the rear when you have to stop weed eating to re-tighten the the handle while making sure not to over tighten. Would be a better product if the housing where the screw are were steel instead of aluminum. Yeah, it would be heavier, but shouldn't strip out. The grip did help with my back, but it's overpriced in my opinion for what it is.
Hand down a must for all landscaper! You won’t regret this purchase.
The product works as advertised and caused much less fatigue that shoulder harness or strap. Would recommend if you have back issues. The only real negative is the price.
Tired of back pain from weed eating for hours. This thing will help you by keeping you standing upright
If you suffer from lower back pain while trimming, this really helps. Totally different standing position when using this.
Fits perfectly. Easy to install and works great
I wish someone would have invented this item 30 years ago… It would have saved allot of wear and tear on my back. Three people in one week told me about this and I was skeptical and waited two months before purchase. Don’t wait to purchase like I did. It is worth every penny!
Works well helps with my back from hurting able to stand straight up and not bend ouer wish I would have found it sooner.
I really like this product as it helps with your posture and no more backaches
The Darwin's Grip is a back saver! The product is very well engineered and made of solid quality material. I use this with a shoulder strap and after a few uses and adjustments it is now sitting in its sweet spot and working flawlessly. I couldn't recommend this enough if you have back problems.
Loved the handle but the storage standoff is junk , both ends cracked just putting it on!Returning for a refund
Sturdy. A little hard to adjust on shaft. Never could it it to be comfortable and too difficult to adjust for 2 users of different height. Had to return.
The media could not be loaded. This Darwin handle is well made. I have tried other brands trying to save money in the past. I wish I would have bought this the first time. The way the handle is made there is no more bending over to weed eat. This handle gives you the ability to have a strong grip on both the handle and the control of your weed eater. I highly suggest buying this the first time and not waste your money on the others. Great product for the yard worker.
