I was on the fence with buying this but so glad I did. This handle is great. I have a bad back and a pretty big piece of property. Before using the handle I wouldn't be able to even get half the yard done with being in pain. With the Darwin grip I can do the whole property faster then ever and absolutely no pain. Before this I dreaded doing the yard work. Now I look forward to it. Super easy to install and lots of adjustments. I will say if you have a milwaukee electric weed eater you may have some issues installing by the quick disconnect. Mine was fine but I can see it being an issue. Overall I hope the person who invented this is rich because he deserves it.
If u have back problems this helped me 100%
The stock grip is situated too low for me, this extension allows me to stand straighter which in turn results in less stress and strain on my back. The installation instructions omit a lot, but I puzzled my way through it as best I could. Not sure it is installed as intended, but it works and it makes weed eating a more tolerable job.
I just installed and used this for the first time, and the main arm/grip was easy enough to install and seems to work as described. However, the saddle brace is made of thin plastic, and a piece broke off during the first 15 minutes of use, so I’m not able to use that part of the product any longer.
It does help tremendously with back strain
Absolutely love this, I’m 6’6 btw and after a day of using shoulder and back pain went away. I’ve used this on yards that take 2 hours to weed eat including big ditches and the comfort is awesome. Gives more control also. Tried using one without the handle and it just feels unnatural and weird now. Spend the money and get this handle cause you get what you pay for the durability of this thing seems amazing, I even put it together without the lock tight and little plastic support brace and 2 weeks of everyday all day use hasn’t shaken this thing a bit. Just ordered 3 more for the other string trimmers
This super lightweight bar allows you to get your forward arm to the proper ergonomic location, giving you perfect balance and leverage, making manipulating the weed trimmer effortless. No longer do I dread trimming my lawn!
So thrilled when i got this, i'm 6'8" and it's saved my back when i'm using my Echo Trimmer around my yard. Easy to install and very confortable!.
Nice Product
The package was already opened and taped back. The coating was chipped on the welded angle by the handle. I paid new price and am disappointed in that.
Nothing to dislike. I use with my Milwaukee hedge trimmer attachment . If you have not used one, it’s heavy! The item was a winner for extra leverage. The locking mechanism is awesome. Just make sure when you install, don’t tighten the nut of the locking mechanism to close to the body. Very comfortable in the hands. The hardware is made very well. I just been using it for a couple days but I’m happy with this purchase. Going to order another one soon for my Maruyama 300 turbo. Happy trimming.
take a few mins to get set up correctly but works great once set up back does not hurt any longe 6'2" hight
Made my left arm sore
Thank you.
Very good product for the money saves your back easy to install
Worked for what it was intended to be used as. Seem to be holding up so far after a month of using.
Seems to work well on our trimmer (an ego battery powered). Easy to install after removing the other handle grip and adjusting to accommodate someone that is 6'3". Worth the money if it makes trimming easier on the back.
Like the handle. Saves my back
Pretty good product. It does help keep you from bending over while trimming. But the piece in the pictures that has zip ties around it broke on me the other day while I was trimming. I run my own mowing business and I have used this grip a lot over the last month and it is a must have after you’ve used it. The durability is just not there for the grip support. If I can get that piece replaced I will change my review from 3 to 5 stars. That is the only reason why it’s 3 because the piece broke.
Only complaint is it will take you a few different positions to find the one most comfortable for you but once it's set you'll love it. This allows you to stand straight and save your back. And actually distributes weight better making it feel lighter and easier to use. I trimmed for about hour plus with 2 stops to refuel and zero back pain.
Really like this trimmer line. What type of string is this I got with my purchase?
I'm 6'1" and have always had a sore back after spending the day cutting the weeds back on my property... Being able to stand upright and adjust my grip easily when I'm cutting downhill or uphill is a back saver. No regrets... I'd buy it again.
"Can you imagine if we had these when we were twelve? Even better, we got 'em when we're forty"Makes it feel a bit heavier to swing side to side, so my arms and abs get more of a workout but my back isn't killing me by the end of the day.
This makes trimming the yard much easier. My back thanks me.
I’m 6’5” and weedeating has always been a pain because I always end up haunched over. This has solved that problem. Easy to install and it does not work itself loose while using. You should try it!
